William Steve Knox

Mr. William Steve Knox, age 65, of McDonough, GA passed away April 30, 2015. Mr. Knox was born in Marietta, GA. He served his country in the US Air Force. Mr. Knox enjoyed spending time with family and friends, his devoted Christian faith, being a jokester, and known for being a southern gentleman. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Knox; step father, Elmer Wester; and baby brother, Michael Knox. Survivors are his wife, Denise Knox of McDonough; mother, Pauline Voyles Wester; children, Susan Carty, Kellie Stice (Chris), Kyle Knox, Jennifer Haig (Danielle), Michael Haig (Pam); grandchildren, Matt Carty, Morgan Taylor (Dakota), Christian, Ryleigh, Lucas Stice, Jacob and Brandon Haig; great grandchild, Kason Taylor; brother, Jerry Knox; sister, Pat Reaid (Curtis); sisters-in-law, Holly Samuel (Vincent), Toni Goebel (Dominic DeRose) Barbara Williams (Mike); and special friend, Barbara Cleveland. On behalf of the family we would like to thank Southern Grace Hospice for their devoted care during Mr. Knox’s illness. A memorial service for Mr. Knox will be held at Way of the Cross Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Bell officiating on Monday, May 4, 2015 – 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service. For those who wish in lieu of flowers donations may be made to a children’s hospital of choice.
