

Bobby “Bob” Stubblefield of Gatesville, died Sunday morning, February 5, 2012, at the age of 70. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Buckhorn Cemetery under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Lena Guill officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Cole Funeral Home.
Mr. Stubblefield was born March 20, 1941, in Temple, Texas, the son of the late William Jewell and Elizabeth Stubblefield. He was reared in Coryell County and attended school in Flat and Moody.
Much of his life was spent in the carpenter business as a home builder for about fifty years prior to his 1996 retirement. He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union in Temple. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, and riding motor cycles.
Also preceding him in death were four brothers, Loyd Stubblefield, William Stubblefield, Jr., Averil “Sugar Man” Stubblefield, Len Stubblefield and a sister, Patsy Stubblefield.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jean Buckholt of Temple; three brothers, Floyd Stubblefield and wife Patsy of Moffet, Loyal Stubblefield of Farmington, New Mexico, Wayne Stubblefield of Lovelady; five sisters, Hazel Hodges, Dee Etta Whisenhunt, Lena “Jo” Guill all of Gatesville, Mildred Young and husband David of Flat, Alice Whisenhunt and husband Randy of Waco and four grandchildren.
