

Carol Pugh of Lorena, died early Monday morning, August 5, 2013, at the age of 68. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Rev. Decee Horton officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Cole Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pugh was born April 12, 1945, in Long Beach, California, the daughter of the late James Lester and Vera Kate (Cashion) Evans. She was a 1963 graduate of Bixie Knows High School in Long Beach, California and continued her education at Cal State University in Long Beach. On March 26, 1965, she married Bobby Louis Pugh in Long Beach. In 1979, the couple moved to Texas and later to Lorena from Hewitt in 1991. Much of her life was spent in the banking industry. More recently she was employed by American Bank in Waco and retired in 2012 from American Bank as a Vice-President.
Carol was an active member of the Precetor Kappa Phi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi in Waco where she served as treasurer, vice-president, president, yearbook chairman and social chairman. She also served as a representative on the Waco City Council. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was an avid camper and fisherman, belonging to the Kountry Kampers Club in Waco where she served as treasurer for twelve years. She was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed a good game of cards.
Also preceding her in death was a sister Ruth Segura.
Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Bobby Pugh; a daughter, Tina Marie Williams and husband Jay Douglas of Crawford; two granddaughters, Jaycee Denise Williams and Hannah Renee Williams.
