David K. Patterson

David K. Patterson, 79, of McGregor, Texas, passed away on April 9, 2026. Born June 22, 1946, in Clifton, Texas, David was a generous, hard-working, honest, and kind-hearted man whose steady presence and devotion to those he loved will be deeply missed.

David graduated from McGregor High School and later joined the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam.

Throughout his working life, David built a reputation for dependable craftsmanship as a welder, pipe fitter and mechanic.

David was born on June 22, 1946 to Carmen and Lydia (Meyer) Patterson. He married Sharon Welch on May 14, 1968, and they celebrated over 38 wonderful years together until her death on February 5, 2007.

David is survived by his son, Damon Patterson; brother, Lanny Patterson and wife, Janet; sister, Debbie Evans and husband, Don; and was Pappy to his 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his son, David Keith Patterson.

David loved going to WinStar, and he loved raising game chickens.

David was member of the Moody Masonic Lodge.

Visitation will be held at McGregor Cemetery, 514 E. Windsor Road, McGregor, Texas 76657, on April 16, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Graveside Service will follow at McGregor Cemetery, 514 E. Windsor Road, McGregor, Texas 76657, on April 16, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.
