Dorothy Inez Holder Cavin

Dorothy Inez Cavin, 95, of McGregor, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in a Hewitt nursing home. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor with Pastor Jerry Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Moody Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, April 10th at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cavin was born on December 27, 1919 in Moody, Texas to James William and Della Lee (Pruett) Holder. She married Raymond Caldwell Cavin on January 16, 1941 and they celebrated over 58 wonderful years together until his death on June 27, 2000. Mrs. Cavin loved to fish, cook, sew, crochet and work in her garden but her true love was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Gordon Cavin and her daughter; Stella Inez Ball.

Survivors include her grandchildren; Mickey Tolliver, Curtis Cavin and Jennifer Cavin, sister; Geneva Land, great grandchildren; Caleb Ray Cavin, Nathaniel Cole Tolliver, Josh Tolliver, David Tolliver and Brandi Tolliver and numerous great -great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
