

Flora Jean Schultz passed from this earthly life to the eternal on June 9, 2023. Jean was born December 26, 1930, in Comanche, Texas, the daughter of Harvey and Artie Mae (Burdette) Hicks. After graduating from Comanche High School, she married the Rev. C. C. Schultz who was a Methodist minister. Together as a team, they began a dedicated ministry to God and the Methodist Churches in the Central Texas Conference.
While serving in Fort Worth, Jean was employed by the Fort Worth Independent School District in the Personnel Office and as an elementary school secretary. In Cisco, Texas she served as a Curriculum Assistant at the Cisco College Library.
With her husband, Jean was totally dedicated to the ministry and devoted to their three wonderful children, eight beloved grandchildren and seven precious great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, four sisters and a daughter-in-law Lauri Schultz.
She is survived by sons Timothy Schultz and wife Ellen; Steven Schultz and wife Susan; daughter Robin Cavender and husband Steve; granddaughter Kelly Schultz Herndon and husband Nick; grandsons Brett Schultz and wife Sheila; Brandon Howard and wife Jennifer; Drew Schultz and wife Jessica; Daniel Schultz; Zach Cavender; Zane Cavender and wife Abby; brother Jackie Hicks and wife Mary Jane and numerous nieces and nephews. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The visitation will be at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas on Thursday, June 15th from 6 to 8 pm. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 16th at 11 am at Bellwood Memorial Park, Temple, Texas
Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church, Moody, Texas; Clarewood House in Houston, Texas or the Methodist Childrens Home in Waco, Texas.
