Frank Perez

Frank Perez of McGregor died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the age of 51. Graveside services and interment will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 1, 2011, at Post Oak Cemetery, under the direction of Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Paul Allison officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. at Cole Funeral Home.

Mr. Perez was born December 31, 1959, in Brownsville, Texas, the son of Antonio and Margarita (Garza) Perez. As a child, he moved to Lodi, California where he was reared and attended school. He later moved to McGregor where he married the former Gloria Marquez on October 23, 1982, in McGregor. He spent twenty-two years as a truck driver in the waste management business in Temple. Throughout his life he was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan.

Survivors include his wife Gloria Perez of McGregor; his parents, Antonio and Margarita Perez of Lodi, California; two sons, Rene Lopez, Benny Lopez and girl friend Brenda Dominguez, all of Waco; one daughter, Leticia Perez and boy friend Frank Jamies of McGregor; one brother, Daniel Perez of Orangevalle, California; two sisters, Margaret Perez of Salida California, Jeannina Perez Garcia and husband David of Lodi, California; three grandchildren, Zarek Edwards, John Patrick Backer and Ariana Lopez.
