

Janice was born on August 22, 1956, in Waco, Texas, to Elton and Esther (Lammert) Dixon. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Judy Dixon Pickrell.
Janice lived a life marked by devotion, kindness, and quiet strength. She was the foundation of her family, offering steadfast love, patience, and encouragement to all who knew her.
As a wife, she was a devoted partner and faithful companion. As a mother, she was selfless and nurturing, always placing the needs of her children above her own. As a grandmother, she experienced her greatest joy, lovingly sharing her time, wisdom, and warmth with her grandchildren. Janice extended compassion and generosity to everyone she encountered, leaving a lasting legacy of love, service, and cherished family traditions.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family. Her home was a place of comfort and welcome, where all were received with warmth and grace.
Janice retired in 2021 from Ricoh, where she distinguished herself in the sales of commercial printing equipment through dedication, professionalism, and excellence.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 32 years, David Hayslip; her children, Andrea Johnston (spouse Larry Johnston), Leanne Bergen-Holobaugh (spouse Josh Holobaugh), and Lacey Bergen-Piche; stepchildren, Dawna Pollock (spouse Jordan Pollock) and Cash Hayslip; and her siblings, Jerry Lou Zeisig (late spouse Walter “Carl” Zeisig) and Mary Ann Hand (spouse Scott Hand). She was also the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church, with Dr. Rev. J. T. Miller officiating. Interment will follow at McGregor Cemetery in McGregor, Texas.
Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Cash Hayslip, Josh Holobaugh, James Gillen, Jacob Gillen, Chris Zeisig, Clayton Zeisig, Conrad Zeisig, and Shawn Hand. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Johnston, Johnnie Horn, and Steve Dalton.
Janice will be remembered with deep love and gratitude and will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
