

Larry Gene Wiedeman, of McGregor, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at his home. He was born on June 3, 1968 in Gatesville, Texas. He graduated from McGregor High School. Visitation will be at Cole Funeral Home, in McGregor, Thursday, June 25th, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 26th, at Cole Funeral Home.
Larry graduated from McGregor High School. He worked for the Goodwill Industries Ground Crew as a groundskeeper, for five years, and he enjoyed doing maintenance work and odd jobs. He could fix anything that was broken.
Larry loved to go fishing, but most of all he loved animals. His favorite animals were his beloved dog, Paco, and his dog Jezzy. Larry enjoyed making people laugh, and playing pranks on his friends and family. Anytime a western show was on, he was sure to watch. He could spend endless hours talking about cars and motorcycles.
Larry was preceded in death by his father; Ernest Wiedeman, grandfather; Robert McGaughy, and his grandmother; Francis Irene McGaughy.
Survivors include his mother; Barbara Jean Wiedeman, brother; David Wayne Lawrence and wife, Gwen Cox, of McGregor, his sisters; Dianne Hegar and husband, David, of Ross, Mary Ann Olivarez and husband, Frank, of McGregor, Sarah Lee Knox and husband, Frank, of Waco, Cindy Lynn Wiedeman, of Witchita, Kansas, his favorite uncle; “Bubba” Robert McGaughy and wife, Pat, of Ft. Worth. and numerous nieces and nephews.
