

A Service of Remembrance will be Wednesday, May 7 at 2pm at College Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. David Thompson officiating.
Ralph was born January 1, 1933 in Caney, Oklahoma to parents Robert E. and Meady Ann (Laird) Rushing. He proudly served in the US Marine Corp. and served in the conflict in Korea as an airplane mechanic. Ralph was a construction superintendent for many years following his military service. He was also active on several softball leagues over the years as a pitcher. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to camp and fish. Ralph enjoyed browsing for bargains at flea markets and garage sales, but most of all, Ralph loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be missed tremendously.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lloyd Rushing; sisters, Margie McMahan, Mavie Edwards, Lucille Brown, Lorene Nix, La Dean Reams; and daughter, Annette Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carole Jean (Summers) Rushing; daughters, Rae Jean Bailey and Steve Rogers, and Tracy Rushing Hehs and husband Joe; son-in-law, J.C. Moore; brothers, Robert Rushing, John C. Rushing; sisters, Meady Sanders and Esther Kelley and husband Donald; brothers-in-law, Clay Edwards and Dannie Summers; grandchildren, Mark Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Jerry Carmony and Casie Bailey; great-grandchildren, Zachry Johnson and Kason Johnson; best friends, Benny McNiel, Jesse Guitierrez and Marlon Sloan and his best buddy in the world, Jasper.
