

Vicente Rincon of McGregor died early Wednesday morning, July 20, 2011, at the age of 90. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Reverend Davis Finley, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Viewing will commence Friday morning with a formal wake being held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Cole Funeral Home.
Mr. Rincon was born April 5, 1921, in Copeland, Texas, the son of the late Manuel and Mary (Ramos) Rincon, where he attended school. Much of his life was spent in the maintenance business, being employed by the City of Temple from September 2, 1975 until his May 31, 1988 retirement. In 1993, he married Helen May Hill in Belton, Texas. After eight years of marriage, she preceded him in death June 18, 2001.
While living in Temple, Mr. Rincon attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Since moving, to McGregor in 2001, he attended New Zion Missionary Baptist Church with his niece, Lucille Finley as long as his health permitted. He enjoyed many outdoor activities which include yard work.
Also preceding him in death were a brother, Jessie Rincon; two sisters, Coka Rincon and Quana Rincon.
Survivors include four nieces and three nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Casketbearers will be Graig Finley, Trenton Finley, Terrence Gilliam, Jimmy Hemphill, Willie Kelley and Charles Morgan.
