Charles Ruffin Henshaw Jr., passed on April 6, 2026, at the age of 95. He was born on August 27, 1930 in Chesterfield County, and was a resident of Mechanicsville, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sedorah Anne Kidd, his son Gary Kevin Henshaw, as well as his parents Charles and Hester Henshaw.
He is survived by son, Michael Henshaw and daughter, Paula Anne Whitmore, his brother Robert Henshaw of California, brother-in-law Roger Madison of Alabama, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Charles was a dedicated life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
A visitation will be held Fri. April 10th from 4 PM to 7 PM at Woody Funeral Home- Atlee Chapel 9271 Shady Grove Rd. in Mechanicsville. A service will be held Sat. April 11th 11 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 8005 Atlee Rd. Mechanicsville, VA.
