Diane was my favorite cousin. We grew up together and loved each other as sisters (we were the same age) and she will always be in my heart. She came to visit me shortly before her passing and i'm gratefull to God that we were able to spend that short time together after so many years of being apart to share and i'll always remember it. Diane, you are in my heart forever. I LOVE YOU!!!! My life will NEVER be the same without you on earth but i look forward to seeing you in Heaven! All my Love! Lisa, your favorite cousin!

I just found out about Diane last night.  I can't believe it's been a year.  No words can express the shock…and sadness.  
She had a sensitive, beautiful soul…and such a big heart.  I remembered a card she gave to me many years ago and pulled it out of my memory box.  I've saved cards over the years that have meant a lot to me and hers was one of them.  She wrote such a beautiful note inside.  She ended it with “…I always admired something about you, and now I know what…you have Faith.  Never let it diminish even when times are a struggling…”  Her spirit shines through as I read it…gently reminding me.  A message we all need to remember and hold on to; to have Faith and trust in His plan no matter what.  God bless the Ross family.  May He bring strength, courage, wisdom, and comfort to your aching hearts.  She's amongst His angels now looking down on us all.  Her work has just begun…
One last thing…I noticed Diane's birthday was June 17th.  The sky glowed in New England two weeks ago with the most beautiful, vibrant double rainbow.  It brought people out of their homes and made people pull over on highways and in parking lots to look up and admire the majestic rainbow.  Its beauty brought some people to tears and it was talked about for days; many saying they never saw such a beautiful rainbow before.  It was June 17th.  How appropriate for Diane's first birthday in heaven.

We sent you out to sea on a bed of roses and prayers.  We chose your favorite place where you first danced on the shore with your Sister.  A single seagul (dove) flew overhead and circled above the ocean and the shore -- guiding you to eternity.  You sent back a shore full of rose petals to let us know you were free.  God be with you dear Daughter.  We miss you but will continue to dance in the rain.  Every raindrop will bring memories of our time with you on earth.  Every butterfly will remind us of your free spirit.  Until we meet again in Heaven, may God be with you my dear Diane and remember that you are WITWOL.  I love you baby, Love Mom

Diane has been gone for one month.  Although happy that Diane is free from pain, and thankful for the 47 years that God loaned Diane to me, I think of her every day and wish she were back in our lives and our arms. I just found out yesterday and I can't believe it. You were a good friend for the time I have known you. We had alot of interesting conversations. A part of my support system is gone but Never forgotton. I will miss you!!!

Even though we never met you, we knew your parents and they always talk about their children and how much they love you. You will be missed by all who knew you.

I didn't give you your Birthday Card, nor spend much time with you. 
 I only got to hug you once, but you made sure that that would do.  
The loving hug I got from you proved that you love me true. 
And memories from that one short day will last my whole life through.

Every day we make choices, and every night we must sleep with the consequences of those choices... Regret, i think that really is the worst kind of pain. I wish I had picked up the phone more often... I can't help but wonder how many nights you may have been home and lonely & I could have called more often. You've taught me one important lesson Diane... never put off taking time to pick that phone up... make that call & make someone's day.. I just wish I had done that more often for you. You are always in our thoughts and yes I'm still mad at you - for leaving us too soon & also for missing one heck of a party. I was reflecting the other night of living so close to you in Pawtucket and how many times Diane would you just come by to say hi or ask if I needed any help when Michael was working out of town. Beloved Daughter:  I've written you so many words, but cannot get them to express what is in my heart.  My love for you will never die.  I never got to give you your Birthday Card but I was able to give you the one thing I cherished most ---- Faith in God.  You lived by the word "Trust".  Your license said "Trust" and you totally trusted in Him.  I believe you are with the angels now and free of pain.  We had so many plans for things to do together.  You were always there for me and I cherish in my heart the fact that you truly knew my love for you as I knew of your love for me.   You were a blessing for so many people.  You now have a new ministry and I know you will continue to "be there" and be a blessing for so many from where you are.  Remember the special middle name I gave you?  WITWOL -- because you were/are and always be: Wrapped In The Warmth Of Love.  I love you Baby, Love Mom (Mommy). : )

I will always remember how kind and helpful Diane was to me when  my dog died.  She came over and dug the grave and then when I was too upset to say a prayer she said it for me.  Rest in Peace, Sweetheart.
