Dot was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Henry Harwood Dunston Jr. Dot is survived by three sons; Bob (Norma), Jim, and David (Mary), grandchildren, Beth, Emily (Travis), and Daniel; step-grandchild; Angie (Matt), great-grandchild; Joanna, and step-great-grandchildren; Sierra, Jack, Gray, and Zachary.
Dot remained largely independent until just a few months preceding her death crediting her longevity to moderation, remaining active, and eating chocolate. Dot was a member and deacon at Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church and found fulfillment and enjoyment in various volunteer services and Christian ministries over decades of service.
Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, at Woody Funeral Home, Atlee Chapel. Funeral service will be noon, Thursday, November 30, at the funeral home with a private burial to follow.
