John Hopson Jordan, 69, of Mechanicsville passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Son of the late Edward Leland Jordan, Sr. and Eliza (Evelyn) Tilford Jordan. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Jordan Williams; and brother, Edward Leland Jordan, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Bonnie Suttle Jordan; three children, Margaret Jordan Trice and her husband, T. Mark, Daniel Hopson Jordan and his wife, Carolyn, and Emily Jordan Koye and her husband, David; six grandchildren, Isaac and William Jordan, Mary Caroline and Nathaniel Trice, Max and Tyler Koye; a brother, Richard (Dick) Jordan; and a sister, Nancy Jordan Muire.
John was a caring and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, May 13th, at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA.
