ALVIS, Judith Ann, 55, of Sandston, went to be with the Lord February 16, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and George Alvis. She is survived by her sons, Jesse V. Alvis and Benjamin B. Alvis; one grandchild, Kelsey Alvis; siblings, Wanda Smart (John), Janet Heflin (Lloyd), Alvin Alvis (Gail); five nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of the friends and family for their support during her illness. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Route 301 and Shady Grove Road, with visitation one hour prior to service.
