My heart was broken when I heard about Justus.  My son, Matthew Pitts was friends with Justus and Nick during their days at Hanover High.  I remember how much they liked to skateboard in our driveway and at youth group.  Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. I have not felt right since I heard the news. Although I never met Justus, I know he was a sparkling example for his age and joy to everyone he came in contact with.

Justus came to my yoga classes off and on since spring at Project Yoga Richmon. I will never forget him introducing himself to me..I'm Justus.."Just Us". He was such a bright light, and always made it a point to say hello to everyone else taking my class that day too. He found me on facebook and I was able to watch several of his insightful you tube videos. Such a bright young man, positive, and kind. You raised a very special son who clearly impacted every single person he met. I am blessed to have known him and will never forget him. Praying for comfort and peace for you all. liz - it's katy gorman here.  my gracie told me about your justus.  things haven't felt right since then.  i keep praying for your spirit to be somehow lifted, and for you to somehow know that so many are heartbroken for you and your family.  gracie knew justus just a little bit, had only good and great things to say about what a decent guy he was.  i know he was a light to you.   i know he made you happy.  i'm glad you have your strong faith here, as it will sustain you in the coming days, knowing especially you will see him again.  that doesn't help w/the here though i know.  i remember all those years ago in high school, you waved to me from the roof of your church, that dark cold night when you were the angel in the nativity.  i'm glad you've held fast to your love of family and god.  justus was a great gift to you.  please accept our deepest condolences.  love -- katy - steve love, hannah gracie claire ella gormanlove

I can't even begin to comprehend the pain and anguish that has rocked your family. Beth, I have not seen Justis since your mom would bring him to church with her many years ago; however, having known the both of you for several decades, I'm pretty sure that I can say that the apple didn't fall far from the tree in that Justis grew up to be a fine young man. Both of you set the example and walked the talk of what a loving family could be. May the One who walked through the Valley of the Shadow of death for us all give you peace and strength
