

She is now reunited with the love of her life, her husband of 51 years, Herman Austin "Lip" who preceded her in death along with her parents, George and Evelyn Shiflett; siblings, Charles Shiflett (Evelyn), Houston Shiflett Sr. (Vivian), and Pauline Stejback (Bill); niece, Paulette Farmer; nephews, Durwood Shiflett, Bobby Shiflett, Frankie Shiflett, and Donnie Shiflett; and best friend, Marcy Guillen (Eddie).
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bonnie Jo Austin-Miller, Donna A. Levy (Ed), and Sharon Gunter and her daughter, Kearston; very special nephew, Roger Shiflett (Kitty); grandsons, Troy Clarke (Kelly), Shane Clarke, Patrick Duke (Linda); great-grandchildren, Tori Arroyo (Brandon), Rachel Clarke, Jesse Clarke, Daphne Rosas (Ramon), Taylor Moore (Michael), and Bryce Clarke (Maddie); special great-nephews, Kenneth Wayne Shiflett, Kevin Shiflett, and Donnie Shiflett Jr.; great-great-grandchildren, Bradley and Maverick Arroyo, Nova Rosas, and Murphy Moore; special family members, Roger Clarke (Suzanne), Sherry Thomas, Donna Ragland, Darlene Bowles Grubbs, Bronwyn Pope, Sandy Shiflett, and Milton Pavy (June); special friend, Donna Ballard (Donnie), and her beloved "Morkie", Sunny.
Loraine was an amazing wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved animals but especially loved horses and dogs. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116 where a funeral will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Entombment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, VA 23069.
