Whited, Mary Haynes, 73 of Henrico, Va. went to be with the Lord Tuesday August 23, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Whited, her father George Edward Haynes and her brother George Edward Haynes, Jr. She is survived by her mother Bessie N. Haynes, her son Edward Dean Whited (Dawn), and Step daughter Kathy Whited Sparks (Collin), two granddaughters Elizabeth and Michaela and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is a 1960 graduate of James Madison University and began her career in the teaching field, eventually retiring from Dominion Virginia Power. She spent her retirement years enjoying friends and family, travelling and working around home in her garden, surrounded by her beloved pets.
Visitation will be Saturday August 27, 2011 at the Woody's Atlee Chapel at 12 pm with Memorial service at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen for the cure.
