Richard Thornhill "Dick" Napier, 94, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, May 24, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia C. Napier. He is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Joyce Napier, LaVerne Napier Wanner (Sam); and a devoted nephew, Claude Napier. Mr. Napier was a World War II veteran, a retired auto machinist and a faithful member of Fairmount Christian Church, where the family would like contributions in lieu of flowers. He enjoyed the company of numerous friends, young and old.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Road. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at Fairmount Christian Church, 6502 Creighton Road, Mechanicsville, Va.
