

William Scott Wingfield, age 25, died Friday, September 30, 2016 at Johnston Willis Hospital. Scott was born November 27, 1990 to Randy and Debbie Barr Wingfield. He attended Lee Davis High School. Scott worked for City Wide Decorators as a supervisor. He was passionate about martial arts, had a thirst for knowledge, and had an insatiable curiosity for learning all that he could. Scott was a gentle soul, loyal, inquisitive, loving and caring. His friends have said that everything he did, he did with passion. Scott made it his personal mission to rescue those struggling with addiction.
Scott is survived by his parents, Randy and Debbie Wingfield of Mechanicsville; sisters, Erika Bailey Kinner (Shane) and Amy Morgan Wingfield both of Mechanicsville; maternal grandmother, Linda Barr of Mechanicsville; maternal grandfather, William Barr (Deborah) of Topping, VA; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Wingfield of Mechanicsville; niece, Karys Kinner; nephew, Kaden Kinner; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Leonidas. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Billy Wingfield and aunt, Diane Wingfield.
