Carl Douglas Stader August 14, 1943 ~ September 25, 2017 Carl Douglas Stader, 74, passed away on September 25, 2017 at Providence Hospital. Carl was born in Shannon, Alabama on August 14, 1943 to Clifford and Elma Stader. After High School, Carl proudly served in the US Army. After serving his country, Carl moved to Houma, La. where he went to work for McDermott as a roughneck, drilling oil in the Gulf of Mexico. He later moved to his home town of Shreveport, La. where he attained his journeyman Carpenter Certification and eventually started his own Contracting Co.. Carl retired and recently moved to the Rogue Valley to spend time with his son and family Carl enjoyed many hobbies including Karaoke, wood working, and playing with his grandchildren, whom he loved very much. Carl is survived by his three sons; Carl Jr, Ronny, and Troy, Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. His parents Clifford and Elma preceded him in death. A committal service will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery on September 29, 2017 at 9:00am.
