Damien Robert Schubert

December 29, 1975 – April 21, 2023

At age 47 Damien passed on to be with the Lord.

Born in San Jose, California and later moved on to be with his dad, Steve and mom, Cindy in Jacksonville, Oregon. At age 16, 1981, he graduated from Cascade Christian High School with best friend and next door neighbor Pastor Peter and Jon Courson and continued on to Bible College for two years and the Mexico Mission for one year, plus frequent visits. Later Damien attended Southern Oregon University with his major in criminology. While he was at SOU he was with the Raider’s football team, four years with a one year free scholarship and was their middle linebacker and received “All American” status under Coach Olsen. The Raider football team made it to the semi-championship game his last two seasons.

He went to work for the Rogue Valley Youth Correctional Facility in Grants Pass as a “Corrections Officer” for six years. He also worked in the construction and concrete business for many years.

Damien loved baseball, played for seven plus years. He also loved weight lifting, running, swimming and lots of fishing with the “Love of his Life”, his son Blake.

He is Survived by his son, Blake, his dad, Steve, mom, Cindy, and older brother, Shawn and wife Edith and younger brother, Nick and wife Julie.

Mt. Church services for Damien will be held on the 20th of May 2023 at 1pm Saturday by Pastor Rayan Sample
