Dixie June Durkee passed away December 23, 2016 Dixie was born in Porterville, CA March 17, 1923 to Vallie and Jack Hall. She is predeceased by her husband Delbert and her son Kenny. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Forrette, her son Dale Durkee, his wife, Robbin, Grandsons Gary, Dirk Forrette and his wife Patty. Also 6 great grandhildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was raised in Prineville, Oregon, but spent the last 71 years of her life in Medford, Oregon. She and Dad enjoyed camping at Union Creek, square dancing, card games, and snow shoeing. She was a charter member of the Medford YMCA and loved her swimming classes. She was a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout den mother. She had an enduring love of all animals and nature. Her beautiful smile was an expression of her fun energy and wonderful sense of humor. Her memories will be cherished forever. A memorial service will be scheduled for March 2017. Donations may be made to the Humane Society.
