About dad (Dick)............
Dick lived his entire life in the Rogue River Valley. He loved the river and kayaked it a lot as a young man. He fished the Rogue and also the lakes, hunted ducks and geese at Klamath lake and adored every dog he ever had.
Having grown up in depression era Medford OR Dick later attended some college in Ashland and was a star athlete in track. During the Korean war he stayed stateside in the army. For 37 years Dick worked for the “dairy.” First Jorgenson's which sold to Mayflower which in in turn sold to Darigold. He met and made lifetime friends while working there.
Dick married the love of his life, Alicia in 1982. They had so much fun together! Camping with their motor home fairly local they eventually began making their way south to join fellow snowbirds in sunny AZ. They continued that annual trek for several years before it was time to stay settled at their home in Phoenix.
Everyone who knew Dick, loved him. He had the biggest heart, the widest grin, bear hugs abundant and a marvelous sense of humor. He was an awesome father. Not a single day will pass we don't remember and miss him with all our hearts.
Arrangements under the direction of Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford, OR.
