He was born 66 years ago to Robert G., (preceded in death 2010), and Anne E. Prest, in Buffalo, NY. When he was six years old the family moved to Southern California. Bob spoke often of his wonderful childhood in Upland with his older sister, Suzanne Prest Wise, (preceded in death 2006), and his younger sisters, Barbara Prest Gonzales and Cindy Pembrock DeChaine. He was a graduate of Upland High School, Class of 1971.
Bob’s surrender to Jesus Christ came when he was in high school. His faith only grew stronger over time and it was the foundation of his being. He was an avid student of the Bible. Bob had many hobbies over the years, but his favorite was bowling with his two sons and being on bowling leagues. During his career as a professional truck driver he drove over three million miles, before he retired in November 2018.
He is survived by his wife Annie Palermo Prest and his two sons, Zachary and Jacob, whom each were the joy of his life. His granddaughter Ryenn brought love to his heart.
Due to the Coronavirus, Bob's celebration of Life Service has been cancelled. The family asks that you remember Bob in your heart. When you recall a memory of him, whether it be a big rig driving down the road, a silly joke or something that connects you to him personally, your smile will keep the memories near.
