

Thomas Arthur Wright went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 17, 2015. He was born in Alliance, Nebraska, November 26, 1935, to Janet and Leslie Wright. The family moved to Oregon in 1938, and settled in Medford in 1947. He attended local schools, graduating with honors. He went on to attend college in Klamath Falls, Oregon, at the Oregon Institute of Technology. A year later he left school to join the Air Force. After basic training in Texas and Mississippi, he returned home to wed Sharon Tyler. He was first stationed in Massachusetts, where his son Stephen was born. The Air Force then moved him to California, where his daughters Susan and Naomi were born. He spent a year in Iceland as part of his military service and retired as a Tech Sergeant, after 20 years. He then worked at the Springs of Living Waters near Chico, California, before returning to Oregon where he worked at Balto Electric until he retired. After his children, one of his proudest accomplishments was starting and teaching his Sunday School class for the mentally and physically handicapped. He called them his special angels. The Parkinson’s disease forced him to retire from his beloved ministry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Janet and Leslie Wright and his infant daughter Naomi Marie. He is survived by his wife Sharon, son Stephen (Jeanne), grandson Benjamin (Gabrielle), granddaughter Sarah, and daughter Susan, his brother, David (Karen) and sisters, Phyllis, Lois and Mary Wright. In addition he is remembered by and assortment of nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Avamere Health Services, 625 Stevens Street, for taking such Excellent care of Thomas for the past 7 years. From our hearts. Thank you
