It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vicky Lauretta Krumlauf, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Vicky was known for her great generosity and selflessness among her family and friends. She was also an accomplished watercolor artist, an amazing cook and baker, an expert seamstress, and above all, a devoted and caring mom and wife. Vicky graduated from the University of Arizona (BA) and from the University of Washington (MA). She was also one of the first women to receive the prestigious Woodrow Wilson Fellowship award. In her early career she was a professor of English at the University of Washington, and later in life she worked as a marketing and business admin specialist for the Girl Scouts of America and several Real Estate agencies. But the role she enjoyed most in life was that of wife and mother. She was also an experienced traveler, visiting and living in over 20 countries throughout the world, as well as visiting all of the United States. Vicky passed away peacefully in her home, two days after her 80th birthday. Vicky is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lt. Col. Harry E. Krumlauf Ret.; her four children, Erika Krumlauf (Owen McGovern), Kurt Krumlauf, Lauren Reyes (Mario Reyes), and Karen Chilina (Greg Chilina); her three grandchildren, Marissa Reyes, Alex Reyes and Timothy Chilina; her brother, Bob Verity; her sister in-law, Carolyn Verity; her niece Cyndi Ricketson; and her nephew, Michael Verity. She will be greatly missed by all.
