Gary E. Dennis

Born on July 9, 1942 in Batavia, NY he was the son of the late Harold and Flora (Post) Dennis.

Gary graduated from Medina High School in 1960 and enlisted in the U.S. Army First Calvary serving in Vietnam, receiving the Purple Heart Medal. On returning home, he married the former Linda Ryan on July 8, 1967, together making their home in Medina. He was employed for 30 years with Harrison Radiator, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Medina V.F.W. Post 1483 and was a avid hunter and trapper.

Gary is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Dennis; two children, Scot Dennis of Rochester and Amy Wood of Virginia; four grandchildren, Matthew and Corey Dennis; Ryan and Abigail Wood; six siblings, Judy (Paul) Bower of Bergen; Bonnie Kaufman of Medina; Ricky (Evelyn) Dennis of Ohio; Mark (Mary) Dennis of Gasport; Crystal (Donald) Luxon of Basom; Melody (Scott) Kempton of Medina and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, March 28, 2014, from 6 PM – 8 PM at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
