Albert L. Nicholson

Albert Lee Nicholson, 84, of Bartlett, passed away peacefully at his home the morning of Monday, October 14, 2013. Born on February 3, 1929 to the late George E. and Lillie Nicholson, Albert was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and shooting pool. Albert retired from International Harvester and was also a member of the International Harvester Managerial Club for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Elizabeth Thompson and Maxine Watson; and his brother, Bruce Nicholson. Albert leaves his wife of 59 years, Carol Ann Nicholson; two children, Terry Lee Nicholson (Darla) and Toni Nicholson Cox (Jim); five grandchildren, Leslie W. Gray III (Mallory), Anthony Lee Nicholson (Jessica), Matthew Curtis Nicholson, James M. Cox, V, and Lillie Grace Cox; his great grandson, Leslie W. Gray, IV; his brother, Harry Nicholson (Hilda); his brother-in-law, Gene Thompson; and his sister-in-law, Constance Nicholson. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 17, until the funeral services begin at 2 p.m., at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. Interment will follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bartlett. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
