Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Gay; daughter Lesley (Darryl) Torrell; son, Kevin (Christy) Gay; mother, Jane Drewry Gay; sister, Ellen (Dale) Stowell; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William P. Gay, Sr.
Bill graduated from Oakhaven High School and Memphis State University.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 4 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122 from 2-3 p.m. A memorial service will follow from 3-4 p.m.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the National Kidney Foundation, National Foundation for Transplants, or other favorite charity.
