
BILL HARMON, 85, loving husband of Catherine Harmon for 65 years, passed away on July 26, 2012. Bill had a long, successful career in the food service industry, starting at Kraft Foods and later managing divisions of Continental Coffee, PYA, and Malone & Hyde. As an entrepreneur, he also established Harmon Foods and PCH Food Brokerage. He was an instructor for Dale Carnegie for more than 25 years, teaching the primary leadership and sales courses. He also was known for delivering numerous motivational speeches to business groups. Bill was an active member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Fidelis Class, the choir, the administrative board, and the Men’s Group. In addition to his wife, Catherine, Bill is survived by his three children, Cathie (Gary) Wright, Pam (Jim) Church, and Ken (Mary) Harmon; nine grandchildren, Chris, Scott, Catie, Jacob, Benjamin, Courtney, Ashley, Ava, and Norah; and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 30 at Colonial Park United Methodist Church, 5330 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119, with services to follow at noon.
