Brenda Sue Warren Rich was born in Jackson, Tennessee on July 12, 1945 along with her twin sister Linda Lou Warren (Hahn). Her parents were Hubert Cecil Warren and Ora (Ada) Warren. Her siblings were Hubert Cecil (Billy) Warren Jr (Shirley), Betty Jean Barber (Mel), Katie Mae Worley (James), Linda Lou Hahn, Wanda Carol Bryson (Archie) and her surviving sister Shirley Ann Haws (Carl).
She married Elbert J. Rich Sr at Parkburg Baptist Church on July 31, 1962. Their sons, Jim and Steve, were born to them in Midland Texas.
When Brenda was young she worked at the Malco Movie Theatre in Jackson at the concession. At times Linda, who worked at another location, would appear with Brenda to promote “twin” movies. During her life, Brenda worked at Leader Federal Bank, and for numerous florists and hair dressing salons. Brenda had a great entrepreneural nature that helped her when she left the workforce on disability. Hard work was her motto, even then. During the winter, Brenda and Linda would sell poinsettias to restaurants. At Linda’s death, Brenda no longer felt driven to do this task. She would bake million dollar cookies and take them to the local car dealers to sell to their visitors. Not only did the shoppers love her cookies, but the dealers would rush to the door when they saw her pull in. For many years she kept a booth at the Antique Gallery on Stage Road in Bartlett. Most of all she loved her family. Her sons were where her heart was.
When she took time to be creative, she would make wreathes and flower arrangements. She never kept them for herself but gave them away.
Brenda was a believer in Jesus Christ a member of Bellevue Baptist. She spent time in the Bible and devotionals in the morning, and watching Gaither Homecoming shows. After a health crisis due to a fourth stroke, Brenda moved in with her son Jim (Greta). As she adapted to Covid making the family work from home, she discovered a new television show she never wanted to miss…BayWatch.
At 2PM Thursday, December 29. 2022, during a visit with her son Jim, Brenda stepped into heaven where she was reunited with her family that had gone before her.
Brenda is survived by her husband Elbert J. Rich Sr (Jim), her sons Elbert J. Rich Jr (Jim) (Greta) and Steven Lynn Rich (Patty); her sister Shirley Warren Haws and many nieces and nephews.
