A Committal Service will be held at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125, US, on April 16, 2026, at 2:00 pm.

With profound love, we honor and remember the life of our beloved father, Carlton Dennis.

Carlton was the kind of man whose personality filled every space he entered. His spirit was infectious, and there truly wasn’t a stranger he didn’t speak to. He could strike up a conversation anywhere, make you laugh without trying, and leave you feeling like you mattered—because to him, you did.

He was a devoted father and a steady presence in our lives, known for his humor, his strength, and those unforgettable lectures that somehow made you laugh, listen, and reflect all at once. His love came with expectations, lessons, and a deep desire to prepare us for a world that wouldn’t always be kind. Everything he taught us was rooted in love and the belief that we could stand strong.

Carlton carried himself with pride, resilience, and purpose, values shaped by his service and reflected in the way he lived his life. Family meant everything to him, and he showed that through his actions every single day.

Though we deeply mourn his passing, we are grateful for the memories, the laughter, the lessons, and the love he gave so freely. While his physical presence is gone, his voice still guides us, his words still echo, and his spirit lives on in all of us.

As he always said—this is not goodbye.
