Cecil Joseph Worlds, age 95 of Memphis, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014. He was born October 20, 1918 in Ripley, Tennessee to the late Joseph Worlds and Mattie Wiggins Worlds. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and fought in World War II. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include 3 daughters, Martha Slatton (Don), Mary Worlds, and Emily Bean (Felix); 2 grandchildren, Atticus and Matthew Webb. Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, January 24 at Family Funeral Care located on Summer Avenue. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 AM till service time. Burial will follow.
