Clarence Eugene Bledsoe, Jr.

Clarence E. Bledsoe, Jr. "Bill" 96, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2013 in Memphis, TN. He was born in Bartlett, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daisy and Clarence Bledsoe; his wife Teresa Williamson Bledsoe; two sisters, Dorothy and Ray Gartland, Ruth and Leon Dew and a niece Betty and Ron Wassenberg. Bill is survived by a daughter, Martha L. Bledsoe of Milwaukee, WI; a son, Thomas E. Bledsoe of Memphis, TN; a sister Ann and C. Edward Carter of Hilton Head Island, SC; several nieces and nephews, Scott and Ronnie Dew of Delonga, GA, Mike and Jill Dew of Tulsa, OK, Kathy and Kevin Shaver of Bartlett, TN, Suzanne Geddy of Gaithersburg, MD, C. Edward Carter, Jr. of Palm Beach, FL, Connie Thrailkill of Houston, TX, September and Robert Eason, Shade and Dr. Wiley Robinson, Samuel Wassenberg and Melanie and Stillman McFadden. Clarence served in World War II in the United States Army Air Corp in North Africa and in Italy. He attended the Church of the Good Shepard Episcopal church and in later years Hope Presbyterian. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30 from 5-8 pm with funeral services at 2 pm on Wednesday, all to be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Ave. Burial will be in Memphis Memory Gardens.
