David Young Ball, 78 of Memphis passed away June 20, 2014. Mr. Ball served 22 years in the United States Air Force, serving during Vietnam War. After retiring from the military he worked for Cleo Wrap, Inc. in Memphis. Mr. Ball was also a member of the Memphis Flying Club. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa G. Bell, Angelynn Maffitt (Mark); brother, Charles Ball (Gail); four grandchildren, Summer, Stephen, Erin, Collin and eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, June 23 at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Ave, the family will receive friends prior to service starting at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to LeBonheur children’s Hospital.
