

Deborah "Debbie" Kay Zientek, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was preceded in death by her father C. Russell Flynn of Overland Park, KS. Debbie is survived by her husband Michael (Mike) of 38 years, daughters Meghan (Brian) Sestokas and Kelsey (Ryan) Taylor along with three grandchildren Xander Sestokas, Cordelia Sestokas, and Davis Taylor; Mother Patricia Flynn, Russ Flynn, Lori (Alan) Johnson, Tim (Stacy) Flynn, Ruth (Barry) Swanson, Kathie (Rick) Perry. Debbie had numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Debbie was teacher for 40 years. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University. She taught Special Education, Middle School, and Preschool during her teaching career. Debbie loved to read, travel around the world, go to movies, go out to eat, play games on her IPad, and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an active member of Resurrection Catholic Church for 26 years where she was a member of the Choir, Ladies Auxiliary, and was a PRE teacher.
Services will be held at Incarnation Catholic Church, 360 Bray Station Road, Collierville, TN 38017 on Thursday, June 22nd. The Rosary will be prayed beginning at 9 a.m., visitation will immediately follow the Rosary until 11 a.m. at which time a Memorial Mass will be said in her remembrance. Following mass, a reception will be held in the gymnasium. Memorials in her honor can be made to Incarnation Catholic School Endowment.
