Marrch 21, 2013: Having moved out of state, I just learned today that my sweet Dottie had died. I have a new email, but it is also an old email I had in Memphis. When I logged in, there were hundreds of emails that had been sent since I stopped using that internet provider. Coincidentally, today would have been Dottie's birthday (March 21), and she passed on what would have been my mother's birthday (May 23). Dottie was a real treasure, one-of-a-kind. She had such a gift for making you feel you were the most important person in the room. I will miss her sorely -- until we meet again.

We are so sorry to hear of Dottie's passing. She was always a bundle of energy and "lit up" the room by her presence. She will always be our friend.

Melanie & Lance, my heart goes out to you both and to your entire family. Words cannot express how saddened I am at the passing of your mother. She was such a charasmatic woman and will live on forever in every person's heart that she ever touched whether it was personally or from a far. In life there is death and in death there is life again. I know she is up there in Heaven running things as she still continues to touch the lives of others. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. Many prayers going up. Love y'all tons.

Lance, I want  to extend my deepest condolences on the loss of your mother. Losing a parent is one of the biggest losses that can be suffered by anyone. May you find God's presence with you as you journey through the time of grief.  May God be with you & your family.

I am so sorry to hear of my childhood friend's passing.  Dot and I go back to the days when we were 13 or 14. We went to Humes High School together and ran in our own tight group. We had so much fun together. I am very sad today and Dot will be in my heart forever.
