Duane Allen Jones

Duane Allen Jones went to be with our Lord on 07/03/15. Mr. Jones was born in Atlantic City, N.J. He was 67 yrs. old. Mr. Jones was a Vietnam Era Veteran where he did 2 tours of duty in the Vietnam War; dates of service were 12/11/64 thru 06/18/69. Specialist E-5 Jones was the recipient of 2 Bronze Stars for heroism in ground combat, he also served 9 months in Augsburg, Germany. He was an avid lover of music and proficient on the guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Joan Jones and a brother, Mark Warren Jones. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Jones of Memphis, TN; one stepson, Anthony Engel of Memphis; three sons, Justin Jones of Hudson, NY, Brian Jones of Memphis and Aaron Jones of Arlington, TN; one daughter, Abby Jones- Allgood of Bartlett, TN; three brothers, Doug Jones of Memphis, Robert Jones of Lamar, MS and Phillip Jones of Winnemucca, NV; one sister, Helen Jones-Jackson of Ft. Worth, TX; 15 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and 2 beloved dogs. Family will receive guests Wednesday, July 8 at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. from 1 pm till the service starts at 2 pm with burial to follow in Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh LaGrange Rd.
