I am very sorry to learn of Eddie’s passing last year and wish to extend my sympathy to his family.  We were in graduate school together at Memphis State.   In fact, we were graduate assistants  whose offices were next to each other.   Eddie was indeed a lover of books and history.  I always appreciated his affability and friendship.
