Edward Ernest Veglio, 84, of Memphis passed away Tuesday October 21, 2014. Ed was a long-time National Guardsman and a member of Second Presbyterian Church. He attended Christian Brothers High School and was a rockabilly guitarist in 1950s Memphis. An accomplished gardener and avid metal detector enthusiast, Ed is survived by his wife Patricia Gardner Veglio (formerly Patricia Gardner Klinke) and step-children Jeffrey Patton Klinke and Kathryn Klinke Sherrill. For over three decades, Ed was married to the late Margie Veglio and lived on Gailwood Avenue. Step-family include Calvin Goble, Dianne McGlothlin, Wanda Morrison, Tonya Warren and numerous other relations. Ed had two other marriages in his youth and three offspring: Ernie, Portia and the late Rose Anne Veglio. Visitation will be Saturday October 25 from 1-2 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, followed by a 2 p.m. service at their chapel, then burial at Memorial Park.
