Georgina Del Carmen Guerra de Chicaguala was born in Viña del Mar, Chile, March 3, 1938 and passed away in Memphis, TN at 3:30 pm on October 26, 2023 at the age of 85. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jorge Chicaguala, of Memphis, TN and 5 of her children, Esther Flores (Alberto), of Lewisville, TX, Elizabeth Lucas (Douglas), of Montevideo, Uruguay, David Chicaguala (Christina), of Brooklyn, NY, Ruth Griffin (Larry), of Memphis, TN, and Anny Sanchez (Jorge), of Argyle, TX.
She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Steve Flores (Tara), of O’Fallon, MO, Vladimir Flores (Jennifer), of Aubrey, TX, Rachel Chicaguala (Zach Buckner), of Brooklyn, NY, Nicolás Griffin (Adrienne), of Southaven, MS, Daniel Sanchez (Jessica Simpson), of Austin, TX, Jacquolyn Chicaguala Novoa (Ryan), of Brooklyn, NY, and Jeremy Griffin (Kendall), of Memphis, TN, as well as 9 Great Grandchildren, Alicia Flores, Adrian Flores, Eva Rios, Liam Flores, Valentina Flores, Enzo Flores, Tobias Griffin, Phoebe Griffin, and Levi Griffin.
She is survived by 4 siblings, Brisa Guerra, Itta Guerra, Sonia Guerra, and Benjamin Guerra, all in Chile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Bautista Guerra Barrios and Itta Georgina Segovia Salinas, two siblings, Alberto Guerra and Ruth Guerra, as well as one child, Pablo Hernando Chicaguala.
Georgina graduated from the Seminario Teológico Interdenominacional de Chile en 1956 and served with her husband as a missionary in Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, and the United States of America. She graduated from the Red Cross as a nurse in 1986 and served as a nurse in the Evangelical Hospital of Montevideo, Uruguay.
She was a woman of great faith and prayer, often supporting her family and her husband’s ministry through her persistent prayers. Though she was a woman of few words, she had great wisdom. Her passion was her family and her career. She loved to cook and entertain in her home. She loved children and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as well as the many other little ones who considered her their grandmother.

Georgina se graduó del Seminario Teológico Interdenominacional de Chile en 1956 y sirvió con su esposo como misionera en Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay y los Estados Unidos de América. Se graduó de enfermera en la Cruz Roja en 1986 y se desempeñó como enfermera en el Hospital Evangélico de Montevideo, Uruguay.
Era una mujer de gran fe y oración, y a menudo apoyaba a su familia y el ministerio de su esposo a través de sus oraciones persistentes. Aunque era una mujer de pocas palabras, tenía una gran sabiduría. Su pasión era su familia y su carrera. Le encantaba cocinar y entretener en su casa. Amaba a los niños y disfrutaba de sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos, así como de muchos otros pequeños que la consideraban su abuela.
