Grace Kennedy Cowan, of Memphis, passed away on May 20, 2015 at the age of 85. Grace was a member of Colonial Baptist Church. She was the daughter of Drew and Lennie Kennedy. Grace is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Cowan, Jr. She is survived by her brother, James Kennedy; her four daughters, Gloria Williams (Carl), Betty Collins (George), Glenda Mills (Benny) and Cindy Buck (David); the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Matthew, Misty, Katie, Michael, Elizabeth, Samantha, Todd, Molly and Caroline; three adored great grandchildren, William, Anna Leigh and Ellie Grace. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Methodist Hospice House on Quince and Kirby. All family and friends are invited to a gathering of memories today, May 22, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave., from 2 o’clock to 3’oclock PM with services to begin at 3 o’clock pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Methodist Foundation at 6400 Shelby View Dr., Ste. 101, Memphis, TN 38134.
