Ila Marie Woodruff

Ila Marie Woodruff, 90, of Millington, TN, formerly of Pallwood Road in Memphis, passed away May 19, 2012 at Millington Healthcare. She was a member of Wells Station Baptist Church. During WWII she was a "Rosie the Riveter" in Merdian, MS and later made hair accessories for Pretty Little Things, Inc. Mrs. Woodruff is survived by her son, Rev. Larry Woodruff (Brenda); two grandchildren, Dr. Kimberly Woodruff and Jared Woodruff (Sally); her brother, Pat Cornelius and close family friend, Dr. Diana Eubanks. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Woodruff and siblings, Ina Pate, Delilah Hutchison, C. C. Cornelius and Ruel Cornelius. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 22, from 5-7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home And Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue. A graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Snowdown Church of Christ Cemetery in Booneville, MS with visitation at 3 p.m. Memorials may be sent to Crossroads Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice .
