James R Benson

He was a Christian and attended Amazing Grace Assembly. Randy loved his family very much, was an avid fan of NASCAR, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He spent most of his life working with the railroads and was a welding fabricator. He also worked at his father gas station Hutcheson's Gulf.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane Benson and their infant daughter; his father, James Benson; his stepfather and mother Melvin and Pauline Hutcheson; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Teresa Reeves; his sister-in-law Kay Smith; and his sister, Peggy Bradley.

Randy Benson is survived by his brother, Michael (Wanda) Hutcheson; his nephew, Daniel (Jennifer) Reeves; two nieces, Shelby Hutcheson and Tara Hutcheson; two great-nephews Daniel Reeves and Brantlee Reeves; one great-niece, Jaslan Lavena Davis; and his brother-in-law, Eugene Bradley.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Family Funeral Care. The visitation is scheduled for August 31, 2024, at 1:00 with service to follow at 2:00. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at approximately 3:30. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Randy’s life.
