James Charles Bursi, Sr., 57, passed away August 28, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital. He had a 21 year career with Ozark Motor Lines; he has a passion for driving and the open road. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and wood working. He was a dedicated husband, father and driver.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, June Bursi; two daughters, Jennifer Marie Campbell and Jessica Lynn Bursi; son, James Charles Bursi, Jr.; three grandchildren; father, Frank Bursi, Jr. and his brother, Frank Maurice Bursi.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1725 Central Avenue, Memphis. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mr. Bursi may be offered to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
