James Kenneth "Ken" Reed, age 67, retired truck driver, Vietnam Veteran and beloved husband, died on December 7th, 2016 at the Memphis VA Medical Center. He leaves his wife of 28 years "Linora"; faithful companion "Arlo"; mother-in-law Joanie Rhea; brother-in-law Dickie (Elizabeth) Rhea of Tupelo, MS; son Kevin Reed; brother Dennis (Kathy) Reed of Murfreesboro, TN; nieces B.J. (T.J.) and Lindsay Reed; nephews Joseph (Allison), Stephen (Rebecca) and Daniel (Hilarie) Rhea; and many loved great-nieces and nephews. Sincere thanks to our extended family of "kids" for their generosity and kindness. The family requests any memorial gifts be made to the West Tennessee Veterans Home, PO Box 11328, Murfreesboro, TN 37129; Memphis Humane Society or any organization currently established benefiting those affected by the fires in Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountain Region.
