James E. (Emmit) McDaniel, 97, passed on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Memphis, TN. He retired from Memphis Light Gas and Water, an Army Veteran and past member of the Army Reserves. Mr. McDaniel was a Past Master of Summer Avenue Masonic Lodge and Past Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge of the State of Tennessee as well as a member of Scottish Rite and Al Chymia Shrine. Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his wife, Marnette Joyner McDaniel and parents, Emmett D. and Sally Pearl Ware McDaniel. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce McDaniel Hathcock; son-in-law, Jim Hathcock; two grandchildren, Jenny Grabbe, J.D. Hathcock; and two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Grabbe and Ryan Grabbe. The family will greet guest at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Tuesday, November 10th from 10 to 11 am in which time a Masonic service will be held. Burial will be in Memphis Memory Gardens.
