Janet Grogan Olson, a joyful, prayerful woman of God, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 4, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer at the young age of 56 years old. Her family will receive guests on Monday, June 6 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and funeral services will be Tuesday, June 7 beginning at 1:00 p.m. all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Poplar Avenue. Burial will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery where she will be buried next to her husband Steven D. Olson who died March 31 of this year. Mrs. Olson was an English teacher and member of Central Church in Collierville, TN. She is survived by her sons Eric David Olson of Germantown, TN and Kevin Daniel Olson of Chicago, IL; parents Dr. & Mrs. Fred Grogan of Germantown, TN; sisters Ellen Olford and Alise Farrell; and eleven nieces and nephews.
